Highside Companies announces senior leadership promotions

DENVER – Highside Companies has announced a series of internal promotions, elevating four tenured employees as the national real estate firm continues to expand its portfolio across the United States and Canada.

The company currently reports more than $1 billion in active and completed real estate projects, spanning multiple fully integrated verticals, including development, investments, and fund management.

• Matt Shannon has been promoted from Senior Vice President of Development to Executive Vice President of Development and Operations. In his expanded role, he will oversee Highside’s investment and asset management teams in addition to the development team. Shannon joined the company in early 2023.
• Ellesse DesMarteau, who joined Highside in late 2021, has been promoted to Vice President of Development. Since joining the firm, she has progressed from Development Manager to Director of Development before assuming her new position.
• Patrick Tyson, a member of the Highside team since late 2022, has been promoted from Vice President to Senior Vice President of Investments. His new role includes broader leadership responsibilities within the investment function.
• Terry Waldick, who has served as Controller since mid-2024, has been appointed Vice President of Accounting and Finance, expanding his responsibilities across the company’s financial operations.
