Not Just Travel forecasts strongest Peaks period following 350-strong industry event

Not Just Travel reported record trading days following its New Year New Start event, with leadership predicting its strongest Peaks period to date after a 350-strong consultant and partner gathering.

Not Just Travel hosted more than 350 travel consultants, corporate team members and 50 trade partners at its New Year New Start event, held from 2 to 4 January at the De Vere Cotswold Waterpark in Cirencester. In the week following the event, the company recorded several record-breaking trading days, including its busiest Saturday on record on 10 January.

The two-day programme focused on training sessions aligned with the company’s Peaks strategy and featured keynote contributions from ABTA and TProfile, alongside sessions delivered by travel providers including Gold Medal and TUI.

Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: “Many people say we are crazy to host an event like this at the start of Peaks, but our sales speak for themselves. For us, it’s an opportunity to get everyone together, excited and full of the latest information ready to make the most of peaks.”

One of the central sessions was delivered by Roberto Balasco, Head of Membership at ABTA, who provided consultants with access to industry statistics and trends intended for immediate application within their businesses.

During the event, Not Just Travel announced several new initiatives, including an exclusive partnership with Cruise.co.uk, granting the company sole UK rights to sell the operator’s “Thrill & Chill” Florida and cruise itineraries.

Two artificial intelligence-based tools were also presented. TProfile unveiled a new AI-enabled function capable of creating complete holiday quotations from a 40-second voice note. Not Just Travel confirmed it continues to invest in providing its 750+ consultants with free access to the TProfile platform.

In addition, the company introduced its new NJT AI platform, designed to enhance consultant support, improve access to industry information and streamline business operations. Further details are expected to be released at a later stage.

Fifty key trade partners attended the event, including P&O Cruises, Gold Medal, Regent Seven Seas, Beachcomber Tours, Riviera and TUI.

Steve Witt told attendees: “We have kicked off 2026 by delivering an incredible training event which provides absolute clarity on our Peaks strategy, direct from leadership to our network of consultants. As a result, this will be our biggest Peaks ever. We are now turning all our December groundwork into genuine Peaks profit.”

He added: “Our consultants have heard directly from key industry figures, our own industry experts and travel suppliers, while also networking with other consultants and our corporate team. These are the kinds of experiences that genuinely move businesses forward.”

The event also introduced a new Business Breakfast format on Sunday morning, aimed at encouraging focused discussions between consultants, Business Consultants and trade partners through table-based strategy sessions.

Saturday’s programme included morning and afternoon briefings, a working lunch and an expanded trade exhibition offering one-to-one meetings with suppliers. The day concluded with a dinner event in a “Chilled Ibiza” format, replacing the company’s traditional gala dinner.

Feedback from consultants indicated that insights and data shared during the event were already being applied to social media activity and business strategies to generate bookings.

Matt Phillips, a Not Just Travel consultant, commented: “It was impressive to see 50 suppliers in one room – from river and ocean cruising to lower and higher-end operators. All the big brands were there. I went to the Exoticca stand, got answers to my questions – and within an hour I’d booked it for my clients.”
